"ARE YOU IN DANGER?"
Hi Faith Family!
What do you think of this little guy? Maybe he is just helping his pet take a bath. But maybe he is in danger, he just doesn't realize it yet.

How about you? Are you in danger?
Paul wrote about his dangerous days:
I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false brothers.
-2 Corinthians 11:26
Travel is much safer in 2008, so we don't have to worry too much about crossing rivers or roadside bandits. Outside of ocean cruises, we don't travel by sea much anymore. Much of the danger Paul speaks of, we don't have to endure.
Actually, our danger is more like the kid above taking a bath with a snake. We too easily consider sin our plaything. How often do we regard our sinful thoughts, words and actions so light and insignificant.
Galatians 6 reminds us: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life."
Are you in danger?
How about your words? Jesus taught, "But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell."
Be honest with yourself. Check your life for danger. Depend on the Lord for forgiveness. Depend on the Lord for protection. Depend on the Lord for help.
What a comfort that our Savior crushed the serpent's head, destroyed the work of the devil, and won forgiveness for all. Jesus did everything to make you holy in God's sight! Thank God for his tremendous love toward you and all people!
Prayer idea: Ask God to remove spiritual dangers in your life. Ask God for protection and help. Praise and thank God for the spiritual and physical blessings he has given to you.
Blessings on your week!
