What's On Your Horizon?
Praying you are well and happy today,
The above picture is one I shot opposite the Meridian Library a few weeks ago. The sky looked as if it were on fire! The heavens had an fascinating beauty that day. There was something amazing on the horizon.
How about your horizon? What does it look like? Are there sunny skies ahead for you or are stormclouds in the forecast? I must confess to you that I don't know. Your horizon is not under my control, nor is it mine.
But that is the encouraging truth about your horizon--it, like everything else, is God's. I Corinthians 3 reminds us,
"All things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future— all are yours."
What a comfort that your future is in God's hands. Your horizon is God's. Take it as a comfort. Treasure God's promises as you move forward into 2009's second week. God will be with you as you move from your todays into your tomorrows, each morning's horizons filled with the light of forgiveness, love, and hope.
