Peace In Jesus is a mission congregation of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (W.E.L.S.) church body. There are many resouces and much information at the WELS website.
Lutheran Women's Missionary Society (LWMS) provides an opportunity for children to give an offering to a special mission project every year through a program called "kids c.a.r.e" (care about reaching everyone). In June 2008, the kids c.a.r.e. project gave Mission to the Children (Mexico) over $65,000. $40,000 was collected by children across the synod with an additional $25,000 given in matching funds. This year's project is Peace in Jesus' outreach to the Vietnamese in Boise, Idaho. Available with this mission project are mission boxes, posters, a letter from the mission, and a PowerPoint that shows children how their money will be used. Mission information and the PowerPoint are available by going online to www.lwms.org and clicking on the kids c.a.r.e. button on the bottom left.
