We are so thankful for a blessed New Year. This past Sunday,
We celebrated the Year of the Ox with a special service,
special music, and both our choirs sang. A potluck
followed the service, and a children's program and adults
capped the event.
I pray you have a great New Year--not just the lingering remnants
of a great time, and whatever the money in your red envelope
can buy. I pray for you something deeper: a New Year which
deepens your appreciation for the God who sent his Son to live
a life of perfection and surrender himself to suffering, cross,
and grave for you. His death assures you that your sins are forgiven.
His resurrection assures you that you are right with God. Your
God will be with you wherever you go, and will never leave you all
alone. Your New Year will be blessed as you go through each day
knowing that your loving Savior will bring good from every
challenge, and blessing from every troubled day filled with calls
for help from your mouth to your loving Savior God.
Happy New Year, dear sister--dear brother in the faith. It
certainly will be a wonderful year we spend with our Lord and
with each other.
