Hi Faith Family!
Spring Break! Whoo-hoo! I'm ready for spring. (I get no sympathy at all from family living in the Midwest on this point).
Our family had our traditional post-Easter get-away--we got out of town, swam in the hotel pool, had a great time. We also went for nice walks as a family. On our walks, we were constantly reminded of the advance of the season of Spring:
We saw gorgeous purple flowers like those in the picture above. Trees and shrubs were budding. The grass was clearly greening up. All around, we could almost feel and hear everything growing.
It is a reminder of ever-green, ever-growing, ever-springtime Gospel that continues to grow and bear fruit all over the globe. Just a few days following such a blessed Easter event at our church, we continue to enjoy the springtime growth of Gospel, all due to God's powerful Good News, noted here from the beginning of Colossians:
We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints—the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth.
If you are feeling dormant in your faith life, return again to the spring of living water to refresh you heart and mind in God's gospel once again.
If you are going through a difficult "pruning" time, place your trust in the Lord and ask that what does not bring God glory may be cut out of your life.
In all things, may God refresh you with the life-giving spring of his Good News. May He continue to bring tremendous fruits of faith from your walk with Him.
I pray your Spring Break is a blessing to you, especially finding refreshment in the Good News of sins forgiven, peace refreshed, and your heavenly home--all through Jesus.
Prayer idea: Give thanks for the most meaningful refreshment that a soul can find--spiritual rejuvination through God's Good News.
Blessings on your week!
